Mom of the Year!

For the last two weeks I have been referring to myself as "Mother of the Year."  But NOT in a good way.  It seems as if I blink and the week is gone.  Work is crazy and my house is a mess.  I am flustered and tired.  I wish I was one of those girls that know how to let some things go in order to get through busy times.  I just can't do it.  Well, I can, but it eats at me until I give in an do it all.

As I type this, my children are each eating a piece of bologne.  Bologne.  Not a banana or an apple.

And they are doing this while playing on my iPad.  Guess my screen will need a serious cleaning after they are done.

And they are eating the bologne on my sofa.

With their feet on the sofa.

And Murphy is trying to eat their little snack.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

"Please excuse the mess, the children are making happy memories."

  4. Nothing wrong with a little bologna, just ask Julie and Laura when I convinced them to steal it from the Welch's after a party! Btw you are a great mom! No one can do it all; we just try to fake it ;)

  5. Don't sweat the small stuff ~ this is tiny in the grand scheme of life. The smiles are what is most important and they certainly are cute!

  7. I'm right there with you, sister!! I even found a rotten apple under the couch today (fruit I thought had been eaten!) I can't seem to get a handle on the house or laundry, but even the rare days I do make a dent, it is only a matter of minutes till it all comes undone again. My kids are happy, though! As are yours by the look of things!!

  10. Hi Lorri - Thanks for the nice comment on my blog. I read your profile and laughed - you dream of winning the lottery...but don't play. I have the same dream...and I don't play either.:) The picture of your daughter holding up her bologne and smiling is adorable. Nice to "meet" you.

  11. Thanks for visiting me...I have LOTS of Disney scoop...how much time do you have?! Ha...seriously, I'll share if you want me too...I am pretty neurotic and Type A, I have a binder with pages and pages of info, schedules, calendars, maps, conf #s, etc...we use TourGuideMike.com for planning, highly recommend! And bring plenty of clothing options and if you are like me and like to "deck" your kiddos out all Mickey&Minnie style than do it...so many cute little kids dressed down there, fun to see and compare notes and shopping sights:) Have a blast and if you want more scoop, let me know, I can email you whatever you want!
